Joseph R. (Joe) Bronson is currently Principal, The Bronson Group, LLC a business advisory group focused on operational and financial consulting and is a Strategic Advisor to Cowen & Co., A New York City based investment bank. Joe is also an Advisor to Sarda Technologies headquartered in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to his affiliation at Cowen & Co., he was affiliated with GCA Savvian, LLC, as an Advisory Director.
From 2009 to March 2010 he was the CEO and President of Silicon Valley Technology Corporation an outside provider of product development foundry services to the semiconductor industry.
Prior to SVTC, he previously served as the President and Chief Operating Officer and Director of Sanmina-SCI, Corporation, a leading electronics contract manufacturer.
Prior to joining Sanmina-SCI, Joe served as Co-Chief Executive Officer and President of Form Factor, a leader in the manufacture of probe cards for the semiconductor test industry, from November 2004 to January 2007 and as a director since April 2002.
Prior to Form Factor, Mr. Bronson was previously the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Applied Materials, Inc., the global leader in semiconductor capital equipment. Mr. Bronson had a number of general management and executive positions with Applied spanning a career of 22 years.
Joe currently serves on the boards of Jacobs Engineering Group, a large engineering and construction enterprise listed on the NYSE, Maxim Integrated Products, Inc., a leading analog semiconductor company listed on NASDAQ, SDC Materials, LLC, a development stage enterprise in the field of nanotechnology materials products, and Ryan Herco Flow Solutions, a private company engaged in the distribution of water filtration components and solutions.
Joe is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut, and currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Bellarmine Preparatory School in San Jose, California. Joe was the recipient of the President’s Award at Bellarmine in 2014. He is also on the Board Of Regents and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University.
Joe is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Fairfield University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. He was inducted into the University of Connecticut Business School Hall of Fame in May 2006.
